Doctrinal
Statement
We
believe that God so desires for us to delight IN Him that
this should be our fundamental motivation for living.
Christ is our fountain of everlasting joy and supreme desire
of our heart that He has the supremacy in our lives.
He is the honey on our lips for the salvation of men and
flavors all aspects of life with victory and
abundance. There is no thing and no one more beautiful
nor more majestic than the one who died for those who
believe that they receive eternal life with God and all the
benefits thereof as adopted Sons and Daughters of the Most
High King/the Creator of the Universe.
a.
THE SCRIPTURE
The Bible, consisting of the sixty-six (66) books of the Old
and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit,
is inerrant in the original manuscripts, and is the
infallible, Majestic, Holy and authoritative Word of God.
b. GODHEAD OR TRINITY
There is only one living and true God eternally existing in
three persons as revealed in the scriptures: God the Father,
God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, the same in essence,
equal in power and glory. God, by His spoken Word and for
His own glory, created the heavens and earth out of nothing.
c.
GOD THE FATHER
God the Father loves the world, gave Christ to be its Savior
and is the Father of all who believe on Jesus Christ as
their personal Savior.
d. GOD THE SON
God the Son became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ,
was conceived of the Holy Spirit, and was born of the Virgin
Mary. He is truly God and truly man, and lived a perfect,
sinless life. He is the truth and all His teachings and
utterances are true.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, shed His blood and died for
the sins of the whole world, according to the Scriptures, as
a substitutionary sacrifice.
The crucified body of Christ was raised from the dead by
God, according to the Scriptures; Christ descended into hell
and ascended into heaven and He sits at the right hand of
God the Father as our High Priest, Judge and King offering
continual intercession for His adopted children.
e. GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is a person. He is the divine author of the
Scriptures. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and
judgment. He is the divine agent of regeneration. He
indwells all believers, and He baptizes all believers into
the body of Christ at the time of their conversion. The Holy
Spirit enables the believer to understand the Scriptures. He
empowers believers for godly living, and He equips them for
witness and service.
f. HUMANITY
The
human race was created in the image of God. Adam sinned and,
thereby, incurred spiritual death, which is separation from
God, as well as physical death. Consequently, all people and
all of nature fell out of grace and all people are born with
a sinful nature, which is enmity toward God. All people are
totally depraved, sinful in thought, word and deed, and
absolutely unable to merit or deserve God's favor thereby in
the need of a savior.
g.
SATAN
Satan is real and evil. The goal of Satan and his
demons is to deceive humanity from receiving God's free gift
of eternal life and instilling believe/trust in anything
other than Christ alone as God's way of salvation.
h. SALVATION
Salvation is only by the grace of God, through the gift of
faith to believe in Christ. All who by faith receive the
Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are born again by
the Holy Spirit into the kingdom of heaven as God's adopted
children. There is no other way by which a person may be
saved and there is no other name (Christ) by which anyone
can be saved. All who are truly born again have been given
the holy spirit and eternal life and shall never perish.
i. THE CHURCH AND ORDINANCES
The
church is the body of Jesus Christ and is a divinely
established instrument for the worship of God, the growth of
believers and evangelism of those separated from God in
Christ. It is the
responsibility of the members of the church to participate
in making disciples of Jesus Christ from every people group
and to live out their faith by sharing the Good News of
Jesus Christ with love, justice and mercy. There are two
ordinances, baptism and the Lord's supper, which are
divinely enjoined upon all believers. They are without
saving merit in themselves, but they provide an expression
of faith regarding the believer's identification and
fellowship with Christ.
j. THE RETURN OF CHRIST
Jesus Christ will return personally and bodily. The second
coming of Christ will be to gather his church and judge all
mankind of history. The judgment is to rule whether
each has trusted God's Way of salvation or rejected
it. Those that are found to have trusted Christ alone
for salvation will be judged as to whether they were
obedient. Those that reject Christ as the Way have
chosen Hell - separation from God for all eternity.
Those that trust Christ as the Way of salvation receive the
eternal presence and blessings of God in heaven.
k. RESURRECTION
Both believers and unbelievers will be raised from the dead
bodily. The redeemed in Christ will enjoy eternal
blessedness. Those who have not accepted the offer of
salvation will suffer eternal, conscious separation from God
which is the absence of all love of God.
l. CHRISTIAN LIFE
The Christian is to find their joy and peace in God and are
empowered to live an all God glorifying - Christ exalting
life. The Christian life is to be lived by faith, trusting the
Lord to meet all of our needs. All who are saved are new
creatures in Christ, with provision made for victory over
the flesh by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We are
called to be holy, and to discipline ourselves for the
purpose of godliness that we might reflect the character of
God.
