A Personal
Message:
Grace and Peace
to you,
The loving truth
is that any claim to be Christian is a claim to have
literally met God in Christ Jesus (John 10:30; John 14:9-12;
Rom 8:16). Is it possible to have met God, and
received His free gift of faith, and not tell anyone about
it? (LK 6:46-49) Is it? Every
day 8 churches in America close their doors for all
eternity. Sadly, virtually every church member in America
today goes into eternity having never, in their entire life,
ever shared Christ (God's ultimate demonstration of love - Rom
5:8) with even One person! And we wonder why our
culture is plummeting into the depths of disgrace. We
again like sheep have gone astray.(Prov
28:23)
The biggest hindrance to
God's "will being done on earth" (MT 6:10) is our
unwillingness to let God do the work he has planned to do
through us. Ahh, there-in awaits a great and wonderful
promise of God. If we allow him to share Christ, to
witness through us (Acts 1:8), we then become instruments of
His glorious and noble purpose.
"Where I
cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and
bless you." (Ex 20:24) God promises us that
he will bless us with his personal presence when He is
honored through us. He, God the Holy Spirit, lives in
every true believer (1 Cor 3:16) and causes his name to be
honored by our Sharing Christ with our neighbor (MT 10:19;
Rom 10:17)! That's it, when we obediently Share Christ, it
is God doing it through us (Php 2:13)! The Pre-eminent
work given the church is to walk alongside God, as his
fellow worker, to "Go and Tell" - to allow God to
Share Christ! AWESOME! Christ said His burden is
light, and it surely is, because His burden is just mere
words (MT 11:30). How much do words weigh? They weigh
nothing! But, when carried along by the power of the
Holy Spirit, his words change lives. (Isa 55:10-11) And they receive the
word of God and accept it not as the word of men, but as it
actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who
believe. (1 Thess 2:13)
"But
thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal
procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the
fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the
aroma of Christ...!" 2 Cor 2:14-15
That's Right! When we allow God to Share Christ
through us, we become a holy fragrance that is to God the
aroma of Christ himself! What a glorious promise!
How can any true Christian pass up such an offer by God
himself who promises to do all the work and all he asks for
is the faith of a mustard seed to trust that He will do what
He says.
Now here's the
kicker, "for it is God who works in
you to will and to act according to his good
purpose." (Php 2:13) The personal presence
of God, and your life being the aroma of Christ, is what God
is offering to do for and give you. This is His
pre-eminent will for your life. The only question is:
"Will you get out of the way and let God bless
you?" Will you allow God to will and act through you by
Sharing Christ?
Paul said: "I pray that you are active in sharing your faith in Jesus Christ that you may know ALL the good things we have in Him" (Philemon 1:6) Paul is praying for you and I to share Christ so we can experientially receive the blessing of God's personal presence. Jesus speaking
about you: "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray
also for those who will believe in me through their
message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as
you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us
so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
(JN 17:20-21) And this is all motivated as work for your joy. (2 Cor 1:24)
Again
Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has
sent me, I am sending you."
(JN 20:21)
I invite you to
begin our N.E.W. process so that you may receive the freedom
and power - victory and abundant life He has planned for
you. (ISA 43:7; JN 10:10) Don't give AUTHORITY to your
fears, shame, excuses, will, disobedience, etc. Give
it back to CHRIST! (MT 28:18)
